INTRODUCTION

Scales & Tails Australia is an international reptile magazine which was officially launched in September 2008. Our magazine provides reptile enthusiasts with a medium that comes jam-packed with the latest information about reptiles, amphibians and invertibrites . Articles include information on species, breeding, health, diet and conservation through informative features and full colour photography.

DISTRIBUTION

Scales & Tails Australia is published bi-monthly and is available through newsagencies nationwide. It's also available through subscriptions both in Australia and overseas, or through selected pet/reptile shops. In USA it is distributed through Barnes & Noble outlets.

FORMAT

Printed with a gloss matt cover and boasting 56 pages each issue, Scales & Tails Australia profiles articles written by keepers, breeders and experts in their chosen field primarily from Australia but with a selection also from overseas.

EDITORIAL

The aim from the outset has been to keep the content of the magazine very much 'Australian' with at least 85% of the articles being from Australian writers, concentrating mainly on Australian species, with the other 15% of the articles being overseas content. We search Australia wide to find freelance writers and articles of interest and accompanying photographs that are not only relevant and current, but are of the highest quality – both from a graphic and an editorial perspective.

ADVERTISING

Because ours is a niche market magazine with a guaranteed target market, we find that it is the perfect media outlet for businesses primarily from within the reptile industry to advertise their products and/or services.

PRODUCTION

Paula & Romana (our Graphic Design team), have many years experience between them in the publishing industry and their combined wealth of creative knowledge and natural flair have helped Scales & Tails Australia to become one of the best magazines on the world market today.
